About The Gym

Kem Muaythai Gym is family owned and established in 2015.

The gym is located on the mountain of Khao Yai Thiang, Nakhon Ratchasima (approx 3 hours drive north east of Bangkok).

There are two full sized boxing rings, 16 boxing bags and strength conditioning equipment for all to use. Cool mountainous air circulates throughout the gym.

We welcome all to train.

Born Surasak Pakkhothakang (December 16th 1984), Kem grew up in Maha Sarakham Province, Thailand.

Kem began training Muay Thai and had his first fight at the age of 13. By 14, he left his city for Bangkok and began training at Sor Ploenjit Gym where he would eventually fight and take the Thailand Champion Belt at 122 lbs then the Rajadamnern Stadium belt at 130lbs in 2007.

In 2008, he moved to Fairtex Gym for 2 years before joining the stable of fighters at Sitsongpeenong Gym where he fought out of until retirement. He has fought champions such as Saenchai Sor Kingstar, Nongbee Kiatyongyut, Nopparat Keatkhamtorn, Singmanee Kaewsamrit, Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee, Fabio Pinca, Abdallah Mabel, Dylan Salvador.

Kem is known for his fight IQ, excellent balance and composure.
